Tourism Alliance Victoria recognises the significance of marine tourism and the role it plays in the wider tourism industry. Tourism Alliance is actively seeking to engage the marine tourism industry to help strengthen this important sector by:

• Channel Deepening Project
  • TAV was delighted with the State Government’s announcement of a $9.2million package to support businesses and improve infrastructure around Port Phillip Bay (13/11/08)
  • It comes after months of lobbying by TAV for recognition of, and assistance in dealing with, the impacts of the channel deepening project on bay tourism operators
  • The package provides $3million for a marketing campaign promoting bay tourism and business support services and funding for eligible businesses, which is now being rolled out.
