2008 Victorian Tourism Conference More than 250 people from various sectors of the tourism industry attended this year’s Victorian Tourism Conference at Telstra Dome on 14th & 15th May. A strong line-up of 8 keynote and 18 session presenters entertained and informed delegates over 2 days. Key themes at this year’s conference included the future of tourism, innovation, storytelling, inspiration, sustainability and marketing. Many an industry contact was made over the two days with delegates enjoying further networking opportunities and an enjoyable night out at the Gala Dinner on the Wednesday evening. Fast becoming one of the industry’s premier networking events, the gala dinner featured guest speaker journalist, poet and storyteller Martin Flanagan. Held at Shed 14, Docklands, the venue provided delegates with convenient access, superb service and showed off Melbourne’s new Docklands precinct to excellent effect. This years delegates will received a CD containing speakers presentations following the conference.
