Victorian Tourism Conference hits the benchmark again The 2006 Victorian Tourism Conference has been and gone and has left a strong impression on those who attended. We compared interstate Local Government Tourism Structures; explored new and innovative business ideas; looked at product branding and positioning and are still trying to figure out Gen Y and what secrets our body gives away when communicating. There was plenty of networking undertaken, we burned up the dance floor and overall it was a valuable and productive two days spent out of the office.

Your thoughts After last years sell out event, we moved it to a bigger venue at the MCG and nearly 300 of Victoria’s Tourism Industry professionals came to undertake the conference experience. Here is what some of the delegates thought: My thanks to all involved in bringing this years conference to this level. Speakers have been well selected and every session left at least one or many ideas, thoughts and addresses for me. This is the only tourism conference I attend annually and find it essential to get updates on trends and emerging issues. It allows me to consolidate ideas and options based on the presentations and considering the size/type of tourism, one of the few opportunities to discuss issues from all spheres of the industry. Great conference - best thing was diversity and quality of speakers. If you have any ideas on suggestions on how we can improve the Victorian Tourism Conference or topics of discussion you would like raised please contact Renee Ashcroft, Industry Development Coordinator at renee@tourismalliance.com.au Victorian Tourism Conference Sponsors Without this level of sponsorship, such a comprehensive program would not have been possible.
