Tourism Alliance Victoria will be hosting the second annual Student Summit, at Melbourne Park, on Wednesday 24 March 2010.
This year’s forum will encompass themes and topics including:
- Tourism industry structures;
- Key speakers from prominent Victorian attractions;
- Various career paths students can take that fall under the banner of tourism;
- Tips on where to access employment opportunities within the industry;
- Opportunities for students to get their ‘foot in the door’ and make themselves known within the industry.
The line up of presenters and workshop conveners will include Victorian and interstate tourism professionals, government representatives and industry experts.

Objectives
The one day summit will provide networking opportunities for Post Graduate and Undergraduate University and TAFE students with Tourism Industry Professionals. It will also encourage them to seek prosperous careers in tourism by providing inspiring presentations from Victorian and interstate tourism professionals, government representatives and industry experts . The objectives of the Summit are to:
- Provide an overview of the tourism industry and various pathways available for students;
- Provide workshops relevant to students wishing to enter the tourism industry;
- Develop relationships and networks amongst students and tourism industry professionals throughout the Summit and the informal networking luncheon.
