What do we do?
The services and functions that we provide are designed to help members enhance their tourism businesses. These include:

Workshops to help build knowledge and understanding of compliance and legislative and licence requirements affecting small businesses;
- Specific business advice for product development and packaging;

Facilitate business networks, and

Timely information and communication.
Our workshops cover topics such as:
We offer strategic and development assistance to member tourist associations and tourism umbrella groups, including:

Developing a strategic direction for tourism on a regional basis;

Developing effective local and regional tourism associations that have pragmatic structures and that work to an agreed plan;

Managing the relationships between local/regional tourism associations, local councils and the broader community;
-
Accessing workshop facilitators who understand the regional tourism system and can motivate and deliver outcomes.
On a broader level, we represent our members’ concerns directly to state and local government on a range of issues from:

Tourism policy;

Economic development;
-
Insurance and professional idemnity;
-
Regional infrastructure and services;
-
Licensing reforms across government agencies such as
-
Parks Victoria, DSE, and Marine Safety Victoria and WorkSafe Victoria; and
-
Codes of conduct.
Together, we are building a stronger tourism industry.
