Tourism Alliance will play host to the Pre-State Election Friends of Tourism Breakfast' on Wednesday 11 August 2010 at the Park Hyatt, Melbourne.

The Breakfast provides Tourism Alliance members and the wider industry with an excellent opportunity to talk and network wth the Government Friends of Tourism group, as well as industry colleagues.

Lynette Bergin Tourism Fellowship

Could you be the next winner of the Lynette Bergin Tourism Fellowship?

The Lynette Bergin Tourism Fellowship is currently in its sixth round and has provided the previous five winners with amazing opportunities to expand their tourism knowledge and understanding as well as their connections within the Victorian tourism industry.

The fellowship is an industry funded annual award of up to $8,000. The winner is able to apply the funds to support an activity which provides both personal and business development benefits during the following year. The fellowship seeks to promote skills and excellence among young people and new entrants into the tourism industry and contribute to the continued development and growth of tourism.

10th Annual Visitor Information Centre Summit- 4 to 6 August, 2010

Warrnambool is to play host to over 100 visitor information centre (VIC) managers and regional tourism representatives at the start of August. The yearly conference is an important professional development opportunity for the managers to share their knowledge, workshop ideas and network with one another.

2010 RACV Victorian Tourism Awards

Tourism Alliance Victoria has once again partnered with Tourism Victoria to deliver  the Victorian Tourism Awards preparatory workshops as well as the mentor program for experienced entrants. Although the workshops around the state have wrapped up for this year, if you are an experienced entrant you can still seek the assistance from a mentor and applications close on July 2nd. Victoria Tourism Week

Tourism Alliance Victria in conjunction with the Victoria Tourism Industry Council is pleased to announce the inaugural Victoria Tourism Week to be held from 6-11 September 2010. A new partnership arrangement with Destination Melbourne Limited will see the coordination of the Week.
